Interview Questions

Interview 1

1. What is your most favourite song and why do you believe that it is better than other songs?

My favourite song is Fireworks by Katy Perry. What I like about this video is the singer encouraging the people to make the world a better place. It is about making people stand up for their selves and realise the wrongs they are doing in life. I think it’s one of the best songs out there as it’s unique and the artist clearly has a good heart by trying to make the world more peaceful.

2. What would you say has been the most influential genre at modern times?

It has to be rap in my opinion, the lyrics some of the artists give are correct in so many ways with regard to the subject. For decades rap has always been the genre that artists use to express their views about politics, crime, and love etc.

3. What do you think makes a music video look good?

Having attractive women along with the artist is always an eye catcher, but the lyrics and the editing is always the one to look out for. I wouldn’t want to see a video that is all over the place, I want it to look more prepared and easier to understand.

4. How important is music for you?

I listen to music when I am bored and try to find something useful to do with my time. I sometimes listen to music on the way to work so it keeps me occupied. Other times I listen to music when I do my work on the laptop.

5. What do you hate in songs and music videos?

I hate seeing the artist degrading themselves by virtually showing off all their bits just to get all the viewers in. I always say be true to yourself and don’t show off all your body parts because it is seen as “slutty” and attention seeking.
